Comic books are vital to the survival of mankind.
As the mightiest task-masters of a sweaty world devoid of sleep, love, or social skills, comics incessantly beat on the drum that beckons us weekly to place small, green bills into the pasty and hyper-knowledgeable hands of the Golfshirt-Tucked-into-Sweatpants-Man, who we call the comic shop owner.
We do so with satisfaction. As members of an addict culture without a cure (except for maturing to adulthood, which we dismissed, like so many Rob Leifield Lithographs), we strongly support the reading, collecting, and hoarding of comic books. We understand that the addiction weighs you down, until you are hopeless - a shell of a man wandering through the dark Gothams and Metropoli of the mind. At Near Mint Minus, we offer you a brief respite from your baleful, nerdish woes. Remember that these reviews are subjective and reflect the views of the NMM staff only, therefore it is incumbant upon you as the reader to read these books, and to judge for yourself, or God himself will judge you.

We are way late this week, but that’s to be understood since Robotics and I have slowly been making my way across the country. As I was traveling, I ran into all sorts of problems. From hotels which claimed to have wireless, but didn’t to Santa Fe’s lone comic shop not receiving this week’s books due to snows in Colorado, it seemed that this week’s madness was doomed not to happen but, here and now, and only three days late, you have your reviews. Sorry for the delay. Now get to reading, unbeliever. We now have business cards and T-Shirts available. Remember to checkout the forums page and register. Holy Crap! Inane Discussion Fourteen! Peblee Recommends: The Greatest of Comics
This is the best book that i have read this month. It will leave you wishing that Willingham and Buckingham had detailed even the most trivial of events concerning the travels of Litlle Boy Blue. With such genius this story is told, to the end that you would pluck the heart from the chest of your own grandmother just to get your hands, unskilled in socialities as they are, on the next issue. This is the good stuff, people. Forget any comic you have read before and let your jowels feast on the savory wonder that is Fables. Fumanchu Recommends: This Book Must Not Be Ignored
This is not a book to miss, unless of course you are a young’n, because there is definitely a lot in this comic that is for mature readers only. But if you are a mature reader, you are not going to want to miss this series. It’s crammed with intrigue and mystery, as well as a heaping serving of action and the grotesque. I predict that this is going to be a great yet heavy comic book in which the reader is left satisfied, but not happy. Check out Ultimate Heroes today! Are you looking for a new comic shop?
