Spectacular Spider-Man # 27 by Goodnight |
So I was really glad to see that last story arc end, and was glad to see a new story. I bashed the last series from its horrible inception, but was a bit taken back to see that this is the last Spectacular Spider-Man. I was not a big fan of this SSM series but it is sad to see it go. Marvel will come out with another spider man after this summer's "House of M", but they are not releasing the name yet. So how do you end a comic after only 27 issues? Well you make up a sappy story line of the character remembering his life. Most of the comic is taken up with what I assume is a drug induced hallucination. Peter is hanging out in the cemetery where Uncle Ben is buried, in the dead of winter. Peter remembers his childhood, and has a long talk with his Uncle (Who is dead). It was a heart warming book, if you like that sort of thing, and I do not, so why beat a dead horse. It is unfortunate that Spectacular Spider-Man will go out on that horrible Sarah’s story and then this. So I am looking forward to "House of M" and what marvel will do with a new Spider man series -Goodnight
