Comic books are vital to the survival of mankind.

As the mightiest task-masters of a sweaty world devoid of sleep, love, or social skills, comics incessantly beat on the drum that beckons us weekly to place small green bills into the pasty and hyper-knowledgeable hands of the Golfshirt-Tucked-into-Sweatpants-Man, who we call the comic shop owner.

We do so with satisfaction.

As members of an addict culture without a cure (except for maturing to adulthood, which we dismissed, like so many Rob Leifield Lithographs), we strongly support the reading, collecting, and hoarding of comic books. We understand that the addiction weighs you down, until you are hopeless - a shell of a man wondering through the dark Gothams and Metropoli of the mind. At Near Mint Minus we offer you a brief respite from your baleful, nerdish woes. Read, laugh, cry, gnash, shake fists at your computer, spit, and repeat.

Enjoy it while you can.

Tommy Castillo (pencils, Batman:LOTDK) has agreed to an interview! And, the Near Mint Minus staff will be attending Wondercon 2005, press-badges and cameras in hand, to offer you the latest scoop on what’s happening in the comic industry. Our first advertising partner will be joining us soon, and we also have business cards and T-shirts on order which will be arriving within the next few weeks. Watch for more news and interviews to come!

Well, four weeks have gone by. The site is getting bigger everyday. Check out the News, Collectors, Etc. via our home-page. We have been around for a month now, and though we are not yet on any of the major search engines, we already have a number of members at the forum, and a new staff member, Robotics. This Book Must Not Be Ignored!

Holy Hydra-Hand! This book is the Best!

This story arc is excellent and is probably the best Millar has ever done. If you are wise you will purchase Wolverine #24, along with the previous four: 20 - 23. If you are Fumanchu, you will wait until the price is at its peak, then buy the book, at which point you won;t be able to read it for fear of maiming your new investment. Be advised these books are awesome, so please wear disposable underwear.
