Uncanny X-Men #455 By New Staff Member, Goodnight |
This is the beginning of a new series "Worlds End" #1 of 5. We start with the return of an old friend Psylocke (or is it?). In this issue we get a little more of the budding romance between Wolverine and Storm (poor Nightcrawler), some good fight scenes between the two, and then Wolverine takes on Bishop which gets a little out of control, only to be broken up by the simple, somewhat crazy X-23: a new student at the mansion that is a lot like Wolverine (claws and all). The team gets called to Spain (Wolverine excluded) to meet Psylocke. Wolverine, after getting a call from an old friend, heads to Canada, eh. The team meets Psylocke and runs tests to make sure it is her, and it is...or her twin (or is it). X-23 had followed Wolverine to Canada eh, and gets attacked but makes her way back to the ship where she calls the other X-Men who eventually show up and try to make sense of what X-23 says, all while being watched by the attackers. All
in all: another good X-men comic, another good buy. It is a good lead
into the new series. Like always, great art and a good story with good
intrigue. I do have to say, though, that I don't like the Wolverine-Storm
thing - it just doesn't quite fit, like tofu on a BBQ. |
