Hal is back! Green Arrow will cease to be melancholy!

This just in! The Green Arrow will no longer stoop his shoulders under the burden of his previously massive angst! He has decided that he really is 45 years old, rather than the 17 year-old little guy in an awkward stage that DCU fans thought he was. In a quote received earlier in the week, The Green Arrow said, “I have done some heinous things to those around me, such as act complicitly in the brain-wiping of Batman, used a kryptonite arrow on Clark, and run around town in a Robin Hood outfit for the last 40 years. But my friend, Hal Jordan, has done things you can’t even imagine or even understand without reading ‘Rebirth” twice! I mean, the man was the friggin Spectre and Parallax for cripes sake. His misdeeds really help me put my guilt into perspective. Now that he is back, I am going to smile more and maybe even throw a block party - You know, like normal people, with piñatas, horseshoes, and that whole bit.”

But will this joy last? Find out in the pages of DC Comics (my personal favorite publisher.)

Side note: This series should not be ignored if you are a collector. It will be serious business for the next few months and thereafter will continue (albeit slowly) to increase in value over the years. Why? A major player is returning to fill his original role. The art is good. The story is good and the readership is huge. The first issue has been to print 4 times and the second is probably going to go for a third printing. This is rare. However, don’t rush out and buy 500 #1’s CGC’d at 9.6 because you will ruin the market, waste your money and be pointed at with fingers that still know what their own money feels like, while you are forced to burn the CGC plastic covers for warmth, and breathe the fumes to make you forget how hungry you are.

Note: I love Green Arrow and mean him no wrong. If you know nothing about him you should read Identity Crisis or perhaps Green Arrow. Also, he puts up an awesome but short fight in Superman/Batman #14.

Note: The above is a joke only. I have not actually interviewed The Green Arrow, nor have I burnt CGC plastic. Who knows, it might actually make you hungrier.
