Zombie King #0 |
Frank Cho is a genius! Of course, having read all of our adoring reviews of Shanna the Beloved and Curvaceous She-Devil, so you know that we truly like the man. But, this new title really catapults Cho forward (at least in my opinion) into the realm of Dark Humor. Zombie King was a blast to read, and quite astonishing in its new spin on the zombie genre. Set in North Dakota and other marvelously entertaining backdrops, this comic opens with one of the most startling, disturbing, and macabre-larious scenes ever witnessed by mine own eyes. Seriously not for little kids, or any sort of comic-fan-aspiring-farmer (that equals Lonely, my friends), or for those who appear to be overtly interested in the finer minutiae of “animal” or “basic” instinct, the comic is sure to please everyone else. So, for laughs, general mayhem, and a zombie tale with some brains behind it, check out Frank Cho’s Zombie King, and stay out of that pasture!
