Okay, I’ll keep this short because I know that you are both sick of hearing about Brian K Vaughan and how he is so much better than any writer EVER. But, just bear with me for a few seconds.

This story, which shows a glimpse into the courtship of Yorick and Beth, his fiancé, was brought on when Beth was kidnapped by an aboriginal lady and sprayed with a substance which apparently causes one to go on a “spiritual journey.”

So we get to read about the past, with a few convoluted dreamish interruptions, as Beth is tripping balls. While she is riding some wild juice, her dream somehow coalesces with Yorick’s dream, wherein he reveals to her that he is still alive.

Are they destined to meet? Find out next time. In the meantime consider this: What if Beth, while visiting Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, was the actual writer of the current story arc in the pages of Swamp Thing?
