WildCATS: Nemesis #4

Ah, the sweet perfume of the curvature.*

You know I am starting to become a real sucker for these WildStorm books. They are really not unique. They have all the intergalactic ridiculousness that the other big name brands have. They have all the obnoxious names and costumes and abilities, yet they are so much more realistic – what with the fear of superheroes and the rule – almost tyranny of the big dogs.

The only thing is (now this is really going to cause a stir amongst people who pay $3.00 to read about nonsense) they aren’t that consistent. Yep, I said it loud. They aren’t consistent. I mean, remember the whole wussy book called the Twighlight Experiment. That rag was all against good artwork - especially good coloring – and tyranny of supertypes. But, that was WildStorm. So, why is it okay when Majestros (I can’t believe I typed out hat name) flaunts his power around like Frank Cho and his mad drawing skills?

Well, I really have no reason to go on about this. Really this could be a review for any of the WildStorm books out there this week. What if I reviewed them all and then just put this review on ‘em?

This should cover that: Nemesis is hot and in no way truly guilty of the accusations against her. Grifter is obnoxious and dumb. Captain Atom needs to really die in all universes. The Shapers’ Guild is badass. The Void better not have steel boobies. Snowboarding is not as cool as people seem to think. No one can have as many muscles as Imperatus. And Nemesis is the only truly good WS story out this week. The artwork in it, by Talent Caldwell, is good, but he needs to use his own talent and not Michael Turner’s.
