Uncanny X-Men #464 |
Uncanny X Men 464 "Season of the Witch" part 3 of 4 After reading this comic, I was once again let down by the X-Men series during the House of M. Now, don't get me wrong. It was a generally well written book with good art and some great fight scenes, and in fact it was a good book; that is, If it hadn’t been an X-Men book. The only X-Men involved in the story are Marvel Girl and Psylocke - the just recently dead Psylocke. The other main character is Brian Bradock, aka Captain Britain. These three, mainly Captain Britain, are in charge of saving all we know from the wave sweeping across all dimensions, erasing it as it goes. Once again, I have to say I that like Psylocke and Marvel Girl, but Captain Britain? Where did he come from? Where are all the other X-Men to save the world when it is coming to and end? When the world is ending there is so much more you can do with it than leave it to Captain Britain. My next complaint would have to be that I am not the smartest guy in the world, but I think I am doing alright, I have my college degree, but some times in this series I find my self a little lost. I, probably like a lot of other readers, don't really understand Quantum Physics. I am very understanding of the comic book world and different dimensions and realities, but I think this series might be pushing the boundaries of the Common Joe brain. The next book is the last one in the House of M, and I have to say that I hope Captain Britain can save the world so that we might get to see the X-Men again. -Goodnight |
