The Pulse #9

Okay. I hate Wolverine on the cover, standing over an apparently injured Jessica Jones. This is once again a gross misrepresentation of the events within. That being said, shall I continue?

The Pulse has been one of the better comics in the Marvel U for over a year. Unfortunately, as a monthly comic, it has only produced nine issues in that time, which tends to cause the consumer to forget about its existence. What’s more, and what’s funny as well, is that this book which I am looking down and to the left at, is February’s issue, and here it is…what month? June.

Shame, shame.

That aside, this is a pretty good book with a farfetched journey of three reporters, and actually a very comical, clever, and interesting ending. I was actually quite impressed with the ending of this issue, and I believe that in that moment it held a bit of its former quality which is what separated it from the rest: it was good.

So, I am not sure if there will be any more issues of this comic, but should there be, I would suggest that you purchase them, at least to try them out. I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that Bendis is just not that interested in this story any more. And, as you all know (or should) when that happens a book goes down the drain, and you only keep buying it so that you can say that you own Captain America vol 56, issues one through canned.
