Surrogates 5
Surrogates is a fantastic mini series. I have to say that right off, because it is over and I want to stress to you how much you would like to read it before it is too late. In the vague future, most people have replaced themselves with attractive, robotic, versions of themselves (or someone else.) Now most of the world is run by robots while their controllers sit comfortably at home. But someone is mighty upset about what this has done to the human race. Someone wants people to remember what it is to live their lives. That someone is viciously murdering… robots. It is interesting how much effort goes into hunting someone who is technically only vandalizing property. This shows you the degree to which people rely upon their surrogate selves. The ending is absolutely not what you are expecting, but even if this visionary cannot change the world, he at least changes one man. It’s neat-o.
