Runaways #6

God’s holy trousers! This issue is so filled with events that make you think “what if?” that I can hardly keep from screaming at the The Darkman about it. First of all, the The Darkman was ridiculously right, as he always is, about everything. But, I am here to get the jump on him. So, before he can proffer up his own silly (perfect) predictions, here are a few things that I would like to point out on my own.

Let me tap my inner Nostradamus.

  1. The The Darkman was right about Alex. He has, in fact, lived, and is now back. Actually, he was rarely missing as he was posing around as Ol’ Flame-Chin from Gen13.
  2. Though the The Darkman has predicted similar things about events in the comic The Ultimates, he has yet to address the lack of heroes present in LA which is so often mentioned in Runaways. Thus, I propose that The West Coast Avengers is about to be reformed. The new members will be the members of the teenish group who’ve been hunting down our beloved Runaways. I believe that either Darkhawk or Rick Jones (creator of the original Avengers and long-time friend to Bruce Banner) will be the leader of the new team.
  3. Is Darkhawk really that powerful?! I mean, did I just see him single handedly take down the likes of Ultron?
  4. If the West Coast Avengers is about to reform, it is going to have a mole serving the remains of The Pryde.
  5. If Ultron survived his first destruction, he will survive this one (if it is even the real Ultron. Thus there will always be the danger that he will grasp control of Victor once more.

So, that’s it really. Not very impressive is it? Besides who cares if the West Coast Avengers come back? Not me. The only reason that I am rooting for them is to justify this review.
