Runaways Vol 2 18

This is the last issue in volume two of the Runaways. As with the last issue of the previous volume, one of the original Runaways dies. This brings up an important question, are there going to be four more volumes? Will Brian K. Vaughan not stop until each and every member of the beloved team meets a gruesome demise? Okay, that’s pretty funny, but what if Vaughan really does it that way? That would be truly original and awesome.

Whatever happens in the next volume, it is going to be spectacular. The setup that Vaughan leaves us with is nothing short of brilliant, and promises a grim and action packed story to come. Meanwhile, this latest issue contains enough ass whooping, heart wrenching sadness, and reassuring new members to tide us over.

If you have been missing out on Runaways, you suck…. But it’s okay. Scoop up this landmark issue and the previous trades and get ready for volume number three. Something tells me Runaways is going down in Marvel history and might be the adolescently correct answer to DC’s mostly-no-longer-teenage Teen Titans.
