Powers #14

Powers was excellent this month, as usual. Bendis is using this stand up comic routine thing for reasons unknown, but it gets his ideas across, at least. The introduction of Special Agent Marcus ads an extraterrestrial flare to the book.

I got to tell you, you have to read this book. There is so much here that you cannot find in the wider world of comics. From Bendis’ hilarious, pointed and allusional writing style, to Avon Oeming’s awesome art style (including random nudes snuck in without the writer’s direction, implication, or suggestion.)

This month’s book also features an incredible cover. I think it worth buying just for that.
