OMAC Project #5

Well this one just keeps getting weirder, but it is still an interesting comic. And more importantly, it seems that the events that begin in this series actually become the Infinite Crisis. In short, Batman’s super-being monitoring satellite was taken over by Max Lord who reprogrammed it to control a host of nano machines that are implanted in millions of hosts worldwide. When activated, these hosts become OMACs and proceed to eliminate any demi human or super hero that they can get their blue stabby-things on. One of these things is enough to kill most of the super humans on Earth, do so a million and some have a good chance of killing every single one of them. But there’s more going on here than that. Max Lord arranged for himself to be killed for an as of yet unknown reason. And Sasha, his former right hand lady, has been infected by a different type of nano machines, which activated upon her “death.”

Anyone interested in the future of DC comics had better not miss this comic, but other than that, there is too much skipping around and not enough focus for this series to be considered “good.” Though it is very well done. The art is ok and fairly consistent but nothing to write home about. This series will be essential to DC history, but remains a non-essential dust collector to my closet.
