House of M #2 |
I would owe a massive apology to all of those who worked on House of M #1, as well as, to all of those (exactly 4.2) who would have read my black and scathing review of that book. However, as you don’t know, I never wrote a review of the first issue, though we had planned to do an Inane Discussion concerning it, in which we had planned to beat it to smithereens. Alas, how unintelligent we were. You see, my friends, Fumanchu and I try o avoid reading the news and hype about comics prior to their arrival, so if there were any revealing descriptions of just what the House of M concept was to be, we never read it. As you can now plainly see, when we picked up the first issue and read the silly prodding-on that was that anomalous tale, and saw the exaggerated and downright silly spectacle that was the art, we simply sighed, shook our heads, and said, “Ohh, Marvel. Why arst thou so lamely?” But, we were fooled, as we often are by movies for which we avoid the previews. And, thusly, having read the second issue of House of M, I am convinced that it is actually quite a brilliant idea. However, seeing as I was masterfully duped by the writer of Powers, I refuse to tell you what went on. I will only say this: Read it. Think, Ultimate U. And be here next time fo some prattle. -Peblee |
