The Goon #14 |
Buzzard is back! Yes, you heard right, the zombie vigilante that is hell-bent on killing his creator, the Zombie Priest has returned armed with a new weapon. I would never question the brilliance of Eric Powell, but I have to say that I am glad that we have returned to the overall plot of the Goon, hopefully for some of the back-story I know that al fans are craving. This issue reveals some strange information about the already very strange Zombie Priest. It seems that he might not be a man at all, but a demon much like Rumble Stiltskin (or perhaps he is Stiltskin) and can be undone by his own true name. As always, Eric Powell’s writing is simply the best and filled with subtle humor. But come on Eric; let’s have a little less of these side stories and more on the main plot. Although I will say that the story of Lagarto Hombre is some of the funniest stuff I have ever read. -Fumanchu |
