Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 |
This is number 1 in a 12 book series, 3 different writers will do a 4 book series. Peter David is first and I think he did well. It was an action packed book much of which focused on a fight between Spider Man and a new villain Mercurial. I am a big fan of fight scenes and action filled comics so I enjoyed it very much. Mercurial I think is not the best bad guy though, from what we have seen he doesn’t have any mutant powers, but he does have a cool gun with bullets that chase there target. So Spidey spends a lot of time trying to dodge them until a lapse in judgment where he takes one though the hand and shoulder. I really enjoyed this book, the story was good and lots of action. The art for the most part was good, but I think that Spider Man kind of looks like a 12 year old boy, and Captain America was huge. I like how it ended and look forward to the next. -Goodnight |
