Ferro City #1 |
This was a great week for indies, with the best one being Hero@Large. Ferro City was no slouch, itself. This title had all the makings of a great book, but it just seemed to fall short. The plot was a bit loose, and the characters a bit anomalous. There were few distinct personalities and the action that took place was too lightly explained or identified and then dismissed. I have to say that this was an almost good book. What the future will hold for it, I don’t know. The artwork (and story), by Armstrong, was pretty cool – his robots were way cool, but again without that quality that convinces the reader that all of this is, or could be real. I mean I am a nut-job who really believes in all this stuff (that’s why I like the comic Albion) but even in my deluded head I found this book unbelievable. -Peblee |
