Detective Comics #811 |
Finally, we get back to the pre-War Games storyline. Why last issue deviated so severely, I don’t know, but this issue was back on track, and that is worth a hoorah! Unless you have tact and sensibility, then you might leave out the ‘hoorah.’ So, I need to say a few things. The first is that I am really impressed with this Lapham story arc. Not only is it more vicious, more serious, and more dark and cynical than the other Bat titles, this arc is awesome and enjoyable, if a bit scary and depressing. If you are jaded by the post-Hush crap in all the Bat comics, you need to get your dirty mits on Detective Comics. It will knock your socks off, and leave you suspicious and eager for blood. -Peblee |
