Conan #20 |
Oh, you already know how I long to praise the works of Busiek and Nord, but did you know that I like Brian K Vaughan’s writings too? Well Vaughan has nothing to do with Conan, so we’ll stick to Busiek and Nord. This team cannot be beaten. This book is so perfect and stylized with such precision as to be unbeatable. In this issue, Busiek brings back the classic tale of “The Tower of the Elephant”. We get some great action as Conan learns of the unkind ways of civilization. What’s more we are introduced to the Prince of Thieves, Taurus of Nemedia, who no doubt has a vast array of Mod loin cloths and codpieces to prove his deftness and craftiness.
And, you must admit that no one can be truly labeled fearless until they don like garments and set about introducing themselves with a confident hand-on-the-hip gesture and a smile. -Peblee |
