Naturally, with talent like Ed Brubaker, The Authority: Revolution was going to be good, no matter what happened. If you add-in Nguyen, in his non-scratchy mode, you get a great book with terrific artwork. If you are not quite up-to-snuff on this title, please read my previous review, if you are, well we’ll start where we left off.

It’s Midnighter vs everyone else. Naturally, though, before chickening out Bendix revealed his quite clever scheme much to the fury of everyone else, including Midnighter. I want to be candid here, and say that the whole gay-man frenching scene was a bit yucko for my taste, but it was not gratuitous. Nope, it was necessary. For there were nano machines in the saliva of the fake elderly Apollo, and it is via these spit-riders that Bendix has taken control of Midnighter and the ship.

So, how can Apollo and crew defeat the man that they all love? By kicking some nano-tail.

I should say that this book is a bit tedious when the various characters are cursing profusely and exclaiming all the disgusting ways that they are going to hurt and abuse each other. However, when the action is a’boilin’ it is good comic fun, if not too “shath jensie.” (Arabic)
